GMS @ DKFI – Girls

Today was a hard day for the Cardinal girls. After a match that was shortened down to only 25 minutes per half due to time concerns, they faced their first loss with a tight score of 2-3. The last goal scored by the other team made mere minutes before the end of the second half. (#26) Jayla and (#32) Stephanie scored the two points, though many other attempts were made by the whole team.

And here’s a special shoutout to goalie (#3) Dumebi for always encouraging her team and still getting into the game even when the ball was nowhere near her. There’s an awful lot of pressure put on the goalie, yet they never really get recognized since they don’t make any goals. You did a great job today, Dumebi, just like every other game.

This might be our first loss, but we will never be defeated!
