PLAYOFFS! DKFI @ Greenbelt
Once again facing our rivals, the girls advance to the semifinals of playoffs and meet with Greenbelt. Unfortunately, their coach Ms. Dudley was unable to join them for this game. On a very hot day, it's important to apply sunscreen and drink lots of water, so the players made sure to do just that. [...]
PLAYOFFS! DKFI @ Buck Lodge
After arriving late, forgetting balls for warmup, and getting lost on the way to the bathroom, DKFI's first match of the playoffs finally began down on the windy field of Buck Lodge. For as experienced as Buck Lodge was in tripping and falling, they were not as quick to get back up. (#30) Kyndal[...]
DKFI @ Ghoulson - Boys
After a long time of waiting approximately 55 minutes for the girl's game to finish, the boys got to show off to the other half of Ghoulson's team. Unfortunately (#) Xavier was badly injured as well as apparently many others by their tall competition, but they still won 2-1.
DKFI @ Ghoulson - Girls
After arriving late to the game, the captains asked the ref for 5 minutes of warm-up that ended up deducting from game time. Although it's not like they needed it—by the end of the first half it was already apparent which way the wind was blowing this afternoon. (#30) Kyndall and (#23) Jahnaiya ea[...]
DKFI @ Greenbelt - Boys
After getting hyped up to challenge our neighbour's skills, (#) Xavier was the only one who managed to score against the tough opponents of Greenbelt. Upon realising the state of the game's score, the coaches decided just to have fun and let everyone play which was nice as the season inches along to[...]
DKFI @ Greenbelt - Girls
Despite the fact that the field DKFI played on today was right in our backyard, it was classified as an away game. In addition to the May flowers springing up everywhere, a new rivalry seems to have firmly planted itself between us and our neighbours across the field. Only (#30) Kyndall scored 1[...]
RGMS @ DKFI - Girls
The coaches, M. Kometa and Ms. Dudley, were nowhere to be found before the game, only to come waltzing in right at the start of warmups. The girls had to psych themselves up, but boy oh howdy, they did. Our rivals, Robert Goddard, once again met us on the field this windy day! Their goalie and pl[...]
DKFI @ Charles Carroll - Girls
Though with a little bit late of a start, the girls got to work right away, (#35) Madinah scoring 1 goal in the first half. Charles Carroll accidentally kicked the ball into our goal, earning DKFI 1 point as well. (#30) Kyndall was reinstated as a field player near the end of the second half, (#) Sa[...]
DKFI @ Charles Carroll - Boys
Compared to last game's score of 0-2, the boys consider today's final total of 1-2 a win on their part.
Thomas Johnson @ DKFI - Boys
The boys played into the sunset today, their game starting late. They lost 0-2. "These kids playing too much," said Tafari.
